Orthodontic Screenings in Frisco

Early evaluation helps us catch bite and alignment issues before they become bigger problems.

Catch It Early, Correct It Easily

Orthodontic screenings are an important part of comprehensive dental care — especially for children and teens. At Stonelake Family Dentistry, we evaluate bite alignment, jaw development, and tooth spacing during routine checkups so we can identify potential issues early.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial screening by age seven, when the first permanent molars and incisors have come in. Early detection doesn’t always mean early treatment — sometimes we simply monitor and wait — but it gives us the best chance to guide development naturally.

If orthodontic treatment is recommended, we offer Invisalign right here in our Frisco office. For cases that require traditional braces, we’ll connect you with a trusted specialist.

Frequently Asked Questions

At what age should my child have an orthodontic screening?

Age seven is ideal for a first evaluation. By this age, enough permanent teeth have come in for us to assess alignment, spacing, and jaw development.

Does an orthodontic screening mean my child needs braces?

Not necessarily. Many children we screen don’t need any treatment. The screening simply helps us identify if and when intervention might be beneficial.

Do you offer braces at Stonelake?

We offer Invisalign clear aligners for both teens and adults. For cases that require traditional braces, we partner with trusted orthodontic specialists in the Frisco area.
